This privacy policy applies to all mobile applications published by Pedro Moitinho.
None of these apps require creating an account or logging in.
No personal data is collected. None of the apps use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs of any kind. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. The Public Domain Books app sends anonymous, aggregate usage statistics, described below.
The Public Domain Books app counts, on your device, how many times it was opened each day, how long it stayed open, which books were opened, and, for each book, whether a reading plan was active. At most once a day it sends those totals to our server, together with the date, the platform (iOS or Android), the app version and the app's language. That is all a report contains: no name, account, device identifier, advertising identifier or location, and nothing about where you are in a book, what you highlight or note, or what you search for.
Our server adds each report to daily totals shared by everyone on the same platform, app version and language, and does not keep the report itself. The request is sent with the same temporary session the app already uses to download books; our server uses it only to confirm that the request comes from the app and to limit how often reports can be sent, and does not store it with the statistics, which cannot be linked back to you or your device. Like every request to our servers, it is recorded for a limited time in our hosting provider's technical logs (for example, the time and the IP address).
If a report cannot be sent, the counts wait on your device for up to four days and are then discarded. They are not included in your device backups. The other apps do not send usage statistics.
The apps download content from our own servers via anonymous requests. Our servers count downloads only in aggregate, without identifying who made them. Like any web service, our hosting providers (Supabase and Vercel) automatically keep standard request logs — which include the IP address and an approximate location — for a limited time (up to about 90 days). We do not use these logs to identify anyone, link them to other data, or share them. Core functionality works offline once content has been downloaded.
Some features may store data only on your device, or in your own personal cloud account (such as iCloud), to which we have no access.
Some features may display content from third-party services (such as video streaming or maps); the privacy policies of those services apply when you use them. If a feature uses your location, it is used only on your device and is never sent to us.
What you send on our book request page (the book, the language, an optional note and your email address) is used only to answer you and to understand what readers want. The request text, never your email address, is processed by Anthropic’s Claude API to help prepare the reply. A record of the request, without your email address, is kept on our servers (Vercel and Supabase). Your email address stays in our support inbox.
Forms on this site send only what you type, plus basic technical context (such as app version and platform), to the developer's email inbox.
